The benefits of a home-made cleaner are multiple. For starters, it’s a lot cheaper, more effective, using natural ingredients poses no health risks and is healthier for everyone with allergies. I took these recipes from pros themselves – a Cleaning Company called Monster Cleaning so you know they aren’t something we just made up – they really do work. I use them all the time.
The Recipe for the spray
You can use it for faucets, fixtures, vanities, toilets, seats, showers.
You need:
1 tsp Borax
1 tsp of washing soda
2 cups of hot water
½ cup of white vinegar
15-20 drops of antibacterial essential oil
How to do it?
- Use a funnel to pour everything in the spray bottle.
- Add hot water, then the vinegar.
- Close the bottle and mix gently
- Add the essential oils
The Recipe for the scrub
You can use it for sink basins, tubs, toilet bowls
You need:
½ cup of baking soda
½ cup of washing soda
½ cup of liquid soap
20 drops of antibacterial essential oil
Hot water
How to do it?
- Mix the baking soda, washing soda, and the liquid soap in a bowl to create a paste
- Add the essential oils
- If the mixture is dry, add little water
- When done, sprinkle the mixture on your sponge and scrub the chosen surface.
