If you enjoy drinking tea then you probably have a kettle in your kitchen, and it’s probably one of the most used appliances in your home. This, however, means that you need to regularly clean it in order to get rid of impurities, germs, and limescale. I know that you do not want to add another cleaning chore to your never-ending list but it’s quite important for your health.
Thankfully, this cleaning chore is not difficult – it’s quite simple. And you don’t need any fancy cleaners, just prepare water and white vinegar!
How To Easily Clean Your Kettle?
You are probably expecting some complex cleaning method that has a lot of steps but to be honest, I clean my kettle in 3 easy steps. Nothing complicated!
I start off by pouring a cup of white vinegar into my kettle. Then I fill the rest with water.
I let the mixture sit for an hour if I am in a hurry. If I am not – I let it sit overnight! If you haven’t cleaned your kettle in a long time then I suggest you leave it overnight.
Then, the next morning, I boil the kettle. I continue with pouring out the vinegar mixture and rinsing it with hot water.
And just like that, my kettle is clean! No scrubbing for hours or anything complicated like that. The kettle really cleans itself with the help of vinegar. It’s a strong natural cleaning ingredient that many use around their home. Not only do I use it as an all-purpose cleaner but I also clean all sorts of appliances with it – from my kettle to even my washing machine and dishwasher!
